About Me

Hey, my name is Jacob and I'm from Germany. I love getting to know different peoples and places and trying out new things.
I’m a carpenter and spent the past year traveling and working in different places. The last 3 months I was in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland.

From 2014 to 2019 I was living in Leipzig and studying civil/economical engineering. In 2017 I’ve spent an exchange semestre in Mekelle/Ethiopia.
After graduating from high school in 2012, I've spent one year in Togo, which was an amazing experience. The year after I've done this and that, studied medicine for 3 weeks, worked in construction, at Volkswagen on the line, travelled around Germany and went couchsurfing in Italy.
Besides that I enjoy spending time with my friends, doing sports especially basketball and running and I listen to a lot of music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Besides a few short trips, I don’t have much experience in Couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I couchsurfed in Munich with my sister and had an amazing time.
In 2014 I went couchsurfing in Torino (Italy), which was really cool. I've hosted one or two couchsurfers and enjoyed it a lot. But besides that I've just travelled in "ordinary fashion", staying with friends, friends of friends, or in hostels.

Interests

Obviously travelling :)
besides that, music - definitely music! I listen to a lot of music, mostly Rap, Reggae, Jazz and Soul, but I'm open to almost every kind of music. I play saxaphone and piano, but unfortunately I don't practise a lot. I also like sports, especially basketball, that I've played a long time and I love dancing (nothing professial though). I'm very interested in politics and follow the news (more or less) thoroughly.
Oh and I really enjoy building things, especially furniture and stuff like that.
But foremost I love trying new things and keep on reinventing myself.
