ABOUT ME
I was bon and have lived in Utah all my life. The ignorance of this place has only made me less ignorant. I was a Boy Scout (now and Eagle Scout). I was baptized and confirmed in a Methodist church. I was a member of the Wesley Bell Ringers for 4 years through this church. During this time I staye (more information Couchsurfing Experiences) I would now say I've become more spiritual and less religious. I feel more of a presence of something greater then me in nature then I ever had in a church. I'm dyslexic and have struggled with structured learning environments my entire life and through this I appreciate knowledge and understanding. If you don't know what dyslexia is don't assume anything. I am perfectly 'normal' and I have for the most part attempted my life according the belief that "it's my problem not anyone else's". So I don't like hand outs or classroom accommodation. I work hard because I can't afford to slack like more well endowed people can. I appreciate the little things that's whats kept me sane.
PHILOSOPHY
I to be a nice person for my self and for others. If I do something kind I feel better about myself, making me happy to help you. If most people lived life like this we all would benefit form it. I don't pretend to know everything and am always open to new ideas! If something offends me I try to understand why and really try to change my thoughts accordingly. Because I don't think people should pretend others personal, thoughts, feelings, actions are always done with others in mind. Lastly, its weird to say, I like to struggle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was apart of a hand bell choir through my Methodist church. The choir is called the Wesley Bell Ringers. I did this for 4 years and each year we would tour travel across the country for two weeks. The choir would play a concert in a church of any denomination and then go home with members (or non members) of that church. From this I learned what the value of community was. If I didn't speak with my host I wouldn't be the same person. I was shocked to find what people even with little are willing to give. I was inspired to give more from this. Kindness and hospitality are truly infectious. I highly regard my host and respect their homes as did the choir. We where all young while in the choir, young enough to be changed my the experience.
Interests
I'm an movie enthusiast like a "true american". I could watch any movie a few times till I "get it". I work my VW out of necessity not really because I enjoy it all the time. Its a labor if love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have backpacked about 300 miles accumulatively. I'm an eagle scout. Being from Utah I should specify I am not a Mormon. Nothing against their religion, I just believe their scouting program is something entirely different from the rest of the world's.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a very handy man. I have work for people as a under the table unlicensed contractor if you will. I can fix most anything in a house. I am also leaning more every day about my beautiful 1971 super Beatle. I fix it and love it more every time I do. That may sound super cheesy but, it's how I feel. I would like to know more about foreign countries culture and how travel though them. I am genuinely interested in everything!
