Overview
About Me
Im a 21 year old from Melbourne, Australia who quit two jobs to go out and explore the world. I'm a friendly energetic guy up for anything whether it be hiking, surfing, exploring new places, chatting about anything and everything or simply watching a film.
Currently traversing the western coast of the USA bound for British Columbia.
I'm new to the couch-surfing concept but would love to make the most of it by meeting new people and exploring different locations!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To have an authentic experience and see a place for what it is through a locals eyes, not to mention meeting some awesome people along the way! It's so nice and lovely to be accepted into someone's home as a traveller, I'd love to be able to offer this when I'm back in Melbourne.
Interests
First and foremost I love travelling. Every single trip I've been on and different city/country I've been to has brought a unique experience and more often than not involved the acquainting of new friends.
I always carry my canon A-1 35mm film camera around wherever I go, not just as a way of documenting experiences but I feel when I have this on me I am able to notice more intricate details in everything from cities to a national park.
The great outdoors are a big passion of mine and from an early age have thoroughly enjoyed being outside. I try to stay heavily involved in any sport I can run around playing (in particular Australian rules football and athletics), but have recently developed a newfound love for bushwalking and hiking - some of my favourite spots being in Tasmania, Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't begin to describe my love for music and of any kinds for that matter, I personally think life should always be filled with music regardless of the situation. I'm always enthusiastic about hearing new music and am even more voracious when talking about it.
Prior to leaving Melbourne I read 'lonesome traveller' by Jack Kerouac - a big source of inspiration to trade in a normal life for that of an extraordinary and constantly exciting one.
Henry David Thoreau - Walking. A simple novel, almost ballad to exploring the outdoors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Throughout my travels I've partaken in a bunch of things I consider to be amazing, whether it be swimming in an ice cold lake in the French alps, glacier climbing in the same spot, discovering pure serenity walking in solitude through Angkor Wat in Cambodia, getting lost in canal ridden streets of Amsterdam or staying on a houseboat on similar canals in London, not to mention the copious amount of beer drunk with friends experiencing firsthand a folk high school in Denmark. It's been a whirlwind of a time traversing the globe.
