Hiya! :) My name is Jacob and I am from the Netherlands. I had a great time grewing up in Amsterdam. My friends tell me that I am a positive and open person which is really nice to hear. I enjoy making new friends from different countries and hearing stories about their home country and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couchsurfing experience was in Dhaka, Bangladesh. After 1 month of research and volunteer work in Savar we decided to go to the capital city Dhaka. My friend was active on Couchsurfing back then and managed to find a place to sleep in Dhaka.

At first I was a little bit skeptic. I did not knew anything about this person where we were going to sleep since I did not had an Couchsurf account. We got a really warm welcome when we arrived at the place. We met other couchsurfers there and made new great friends for our remaining months in Bangladesh. This was the point where I made a Couchsurfing account myself .

Interests

I enjoy music (festivals, concerts) , traveling and watching movies.

Movies I like: The grand Budapest hotel, Amelie, Darjeeling limited, The running man, Escape from New York, Water World, Pulp fiction, The fifth element, The thing, Stand by me, Dawn of the dead, Lock stock & two smoking barrels.

Music I like listening to: Imagine dragons, Bastille, Rise against, Pendulum, The prodigy, Major Lazer, Mumford and sons, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The white stripes. I cannot say that I like every kind of music, but when I go out to a party with some good company and the atmosphere is nice, I can enjoy almost everything =)
