I live in Athens, Georgia USA!

I'm studying English, Linguistics, and Audiology at the University of Georgia.

I love to go out and do things! Hikes, camping, festivals, movies, poetry readings and more keep the spice in life. Random, last minute plans are some of the best. I love meeting new people and I am happiest when trying new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I want to travel and get to see places from the eyes of the locals! I want to shake up my routines so that I don't become complacent with my life. The best way to gain perspective is through experience, so I figure I might as well start somewhere.

I also want to be able to host people! I think it'd be a great way to meet a variety of people and give back, especially considering how generous my hosts have been!

Interests

I love story telling, poetry readings, and writing! My guide dog in training and volunteering make me so, so happy. I'm fond of outdoorsy adventures, geocaching, gardening, and tea. I love my aquarium and fish-keeping too.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is eclectic at best. I love listening to a variety of different artists and genres, so my Spotify playlists have everything from country to EDM.

I still have books from fourth grade that I accidentally forgot to return to the library . In general, books are always gonna be near me. Each English class means more books to be bought and kept, so I've read everything from the Bronte sisters and Chaucer to Gertrude Stein. Can't say I love them all, but I have them all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love having conversations with people, and I can promise to leave the area the way I found it. If you enjoy beer or coffee, I'm always happy to bring a can of coffee from the local roaster that I live across the street from, or a few beers from the local Athens breweries!
