About Me

I grew up in a small today and moved to Philadelphia a few years after I graduated high school. I lived in Philly for a couple of years on my own. At first, I lived in a sober community and then I moved out and had roommates and then a place to call my own. I got sick of Philly quickly when COVID hit because the city became so dangerous with all the riots that were breaking out. I ended up going home for a little bit and now I'm living in another sober house in a small town outside of Allentown and working a full time job at the front desk at a hotel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I''m like a modern day vagamond. I used to live in Philadelphia in a studio apartment and I lost it when COVID-19 hit. I also lost my job and pretty much landed on the street. I never want to experience anything like that again. I made a girl in Center City one night when we went out and she told me that she was a "couch surfer". I laughed thinking she was just calling herself lazy but then she explained to me that she uses the couch surfer app to travel. I stayed in a hostel last year in San Diego and loved it. I had such a good time and didn't spend a lot of money. I figured this way I'll save a ton of money and will still be able to travel. My plan is to explode different cities and pick up side gigs catering or bartending for a little bit of cash while I'm passing through.

Interests

I'm almost 30 years old and I can never stay on one place for a lot period of time. I've always been a drifter. That's why I think this app is perfect for me. I don't want to be tied down to a lease on an apartment that I'll probably never be home in anyway. I have serving and bartending experience so it's very easy for me to pick up gigs to work and make a little bit of money in my travels.
