ABOUT ME

Raised in Visalia, California. I moved to Santa Cruz in 2004 to study Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Graduating in 2008, I moved back home and worked at an outdoor education school near the sequoias. In 2009, I applied to the Peace Corps and in 2010 I accepted my invitation to join Peace Corps Mali.

Interests

I love sports. I played golf competitively in college. But I do enjoy tennis, basketball, biking and birdwatching; anything that gets me outside.
I have also started riding, bought a motorcycle in 2009 just haven't taken any long trips yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read alot and listen to almost every genre of music. As for movies I enjoy, but I can't watch a movie by myself I get bored.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I was on a late afternoon hike we saw in the distance 2 large ravens circling above the tree line making a lot of noise and dropping down. Just below we caught sight of a bobcat. In its jaws was a small animal probably a rabbit or squirrel, we couldn't tell. But the ravens were dive-bombing on this bobcat until it dropped it kill and the ravens went in for their fill.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone how to play golf, ride a motorcycle/bicycle, make soap, cook/bake, how to use a variety of computer programs, how to write a haiku.
I would like to learn how to play the guitar and improve my artistic skills drawing/painting.
