Overview
About Me
A little about background:
My parents are Chinese, so I have acquired some of the Chinese norms and values, but they only taught me a chinese dialect called Wenzhounese, so I don't speak Mandarin.
My nationality is Dutch because I was in born in the Netherlands, but I grew up in Germany.
About six years ago, I moved from Germany to the Netherlands to study. During my study I went a year abroad: 5 months in Shanghai, China to study Mandarin and 6 months Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for my internship.
I am hospitable and really open-minded. I like to learn about other cultures. I can be quiet, but I can also be energetic. I am highly adaptable when it comes to being in a new environment.
After Malaysia, I started to realize that I really like to travel, which I'd like to practice more. Generally, I am open to try new things, unless we are talking about consuming worms or spiders.
I also enjoy having conversations/debates accompanied by beer or a cup of tea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To really experience the countries/ cities that I'm going to, instead of only having a glance at them as a tourist.
In addition, I like to host people :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I like good music ;) (don't know how to phrase it otherwise. My taste ranges from classic (especially Ludovico Einaudi) to deep house.
I like books about the human behaviour/human mind.
Similar to my taste for music, I like to read and watch anything that can be considered to be good.
Literatures and movies that are paradox and/or are playing with your mind are especially interesting to me.
BTW: any recommendations on some good literatures and/or movies are always appreciated :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to share my experiences with my peers; hoping to have enriched their knowledge, and also hoping that they can enrich mine.
I am considered to have quite a neutral and critical mindset; so, if you just want someone to talk to... just shoot. (unless it's about relationship problems, because I am really bad at that one)
