ABOUT ME

Hey! I’m Jaki and I’m currently doing an 8 month trip around Asia and New Zealand with my girlfriend. We’ve been to 18 countries together (and counting) and it’s been a dream to travel so far and wide together. I love to sing, read, bake, eat, hike, and meet new people. I hope to be doing all these things until I’m old and grey!

PHILOSOPHY

See and do and as much as you can and be friendly to all those you meet along the way. For me, being yourself and being open to new experiences is the key to happiness.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted people from Australia and the UK and have had nothing but good experiences. I also surfed for the first time in Melbourne, Australia but haven’t had the opportunity to do it again since then. I’m eager to give it another try!

Interessi

I love to sing and experiment/write songs on the ukelele. I also love to dance and hike and eat and speak French and play soccer and ride horses and read. Most of all I love to meet new people and try new things.

I love old and classic movies - Titanic, Rainman, Pretty Woman, The Breakfast Club.

I’m an avid reader and always love getting good book recommendations. Right now I’m reading the author Jeffrey Eugenides and loving his stuff.

I went bungee jumping off of the Bloukrans bridge in South Africa. Hiking Lion's Head mountain at sunset in Cape Town. Balloon ride over the thousands of temples in Bagan, Myanmar at sunrise.
