ABOUT ME

I live in Pittsburgh, PA, USA and think that it's great. I'm fascinated by learning about other cultures and in turn, my own. There are many places I want to go to, but there's a good chance that I will go anywhere I have the opportunity to go to. I enjoy spending longer amounts of time in places, because I think that it's hard to understand a new place and new people in a short amount of time.
I feel torn between being in cities and being in rural areas, however they are called across the world.

I've come to see my future not as a secret plan that I need to figure out, but a ridiculously amazing series of adventures. I'm currently working as a legal assistant at a local nonprofit, and I feel very fortunate to be able to honestly say that I love my job.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to be living my life in love and peace, and be able to treat people like Jesus did. I think that love, above all other things, is essential in doing so.

I'm not in the best of positions to host at the moment, but I am more than happy to meet up with those traveling through Pittsburgh and show them why I love this city,

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed with two of my friends in college for one night in Melbourne on our way to Tasmania for a holiday, and it was a pretty excellent experience.

Interests

Family, friends (new and old), conversations, eating favorite and new foods, reading, music, movies, adventuring, sleeping outside, climbing trees, riding bikes, exploring cities, swimming in most bodies of water, sitting in the sun, taking pictures of the sun, stargazing, the occasional nap, Pittsburgh, scuba diving, traveling, trying to learn Spanish, meeting new people

Music, Movies, and Books

The past year, I've listened to Andrew Bird's "The Mysterious Production of Eggs" quite frequently, and I think that Jonsi's "Go Do" is magical. I also like music that doesn't sound like either of those, though. In short, I like music that sounds good, and I will listen to most music at least once. This is the best of my ability at describing the music, books or movies that I like. It's much easier if it just comes up naturally in conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the best time of my life traveling with nothing but friends, not even a plan of where we would stay.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to get to know and learn about new people, and I love to learn about different cultures, too. Also, I want to learn languages, and I want to be challenged by others to live out my convictions and have a greater understanding of why I think and believe the things that I think and believe.
