I’m Jackie from the United States, more specifically Jacksonville, Florida. Therefore, I love the beach, sunsets and salt water.

I’m soon embarking on a backpacking adventure to New Zealand on a working holiday visa, so my dreams of jetting off to a far away land is coming true.

I’ve been a nanny for several years, so I’m used to being around children (all the time). I’ve also worked in the hospitality industry, so talking to people is not a problem for me!

I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication concentrating in Journalism, although I haven’t written anything since college, so I wouldn’t say it’s a passion. Maybe I just haven’t found anything worth writing about lately or I’ve gotten caught up in the busy cycle of, well life. I’m hoping the traveling helps! :)

I’m on couch surfing because I heard it was a wonderful way to meet individuals from the place you’re traveling, who can share what the place is really like, from a locals perspective!

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love music. I’m known for always being the DJ at a party or for my Spotify playlists. I have a very eclectic music taste, I honestly will give anything a chance. Rap, R&B, house, reggae, alternative, country, blues/soul ...really, anything!

I’m definitely into space and Sci-fi books. I’ve been infatuated with space since I was a little girl and I love nothing more than a good mystery that gets your brain questioning.

I’ve been disappointed in movies lately, so if I’m going to choose I’d say any of the old stuff :)

Since traveling is on the brain, I would have to say winning against Aston Villa when my college soccer team travelled over to London a few years ago.

I played soccer in university, so I could probably teach you a few things about the game and maybe have a kick about! I want to learn about people from other parts of the world.
