About Me

I'm easy going and curious. This is why I like to travel. If I had enough time, I would go everywhere and see everything there is to discover. I just love experiencing other way of living and exchange ideas with people who think differently than I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It happen to be a nice way to meet people and see their city/country through their eyes. It's also cheap, let's face it!

Interests

I love cooking, of course, with traditional foods and ingredients unknown to me. I also like mostly everything regarding history, may it be of the country I'm travelling in or the people I'm meeting along the way. Also, as many people, I enjoy movies, music, having a drink, walking in the wild... I guess it goes on too long to write it down.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite artist is George Brassens. Mostly for the texts and the personage itself. I'm generally fond of old french music, so Brel, Aznavour, Piaf and others are among my favourites. I keep listening to my teenage music which include Rage Against the Machine, The Offspring , Eminem and others.

My favourite movie would be Pulp Fiction. I do like all the movies by Tarantino, which explains why my second best movie is Reservoir Dogs. But I enjoyed lots of movies that are not far behind those two on my personal list.

The book I liked the most is Cyrano de Bergerac, which is in fact a play by Edmond Rostand. I like the texts and I always picture Gérard Depardieu playing Cyrano's role in the movie adaptation of 1990.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Camino Frances in 2013. Something like a thousand kilometers of walk in 33 days... When I think back about it, I do think it was amazing but only for small reasons, not for the walk itself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach you some Canadian cooking and the little I know about the languages I speak and write. I know lots of random stuff that just interested me once and got stored somewhere in my head.

I would really like to learn about food, food conservation methods, ways of cooking, how to build stuff (houses, furnitures, ovens, etc.), other languages, anything about history.
