About Me

As a freelance performer, I'm creative, curious and have an eclectic range of interests and cultures I've been exposed to. I'm UK- born and bred, German mother and Malay-Chinese father.

I used to be a Producer and Coordinator for video game voiceover. A video game I worked on as a voice director, casting coordinator and mocap and voice actor: Baldur's Gate 3 - please mention the name of this in your request to show you have done your reading!

During COVID I retrained to be an actor at drama school. Now I work as a freelance actor, voiceover actor, voice tutor and cabaret artist on stage and on screen. When I'm not on stage or in a recording booth doing the latest audiobook, I love baking, podcasts, films, woodwork, making costumes and of course travelling the world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I experienced Couchsurfing for the first time when I went to Indonesia in February 2016 with a couple of friends. The host's warmth and hospitality made the few days we spent there extra special and memorable.

I love the idea of sharing things.

After a recent split from my partner of six years last year I have recently been left with a spare room and the travel bug to go back exploring the world.

Interests

Food, film, motorcycling, festivals, theatre, science, languages, music, linguistics, cultures, history.

If I don't know about something, I love it when someone has the passion to teach me more about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any music. I'm really impartial. Usually, the more I get to know someone or something, the more I appreciate the music they are associated with.

I'm a self-confessed film buff. So the same pretty much goes for film and TV. I'll appreciate anything if you throw it at me.

Trying to get back into reading. I like Sylvia Plath and George Orwell. Is it bad that the only books I read are the ones I get paid to read aloud??

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked on multi BAFTA winning video game of the year Baldur's Gate 3 as a production and casting coordinator, dialogue and voice director and eventually as a mocap and voice actor.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know my fair share of languages but practice makes perfect. If you are native German, Japanese or French I invite you to let me brush up on my rusty language skills with you. I can also teach you or practise English with you. I have a very standard British accent (I do audiobooks for a reason) so I can teach you.

I also cook and bake loads. I can make many German, British and some Japanese dishes. I'm very open to trying new dishes and open to trying new cuisine, anything vegetarian / vegan.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel experience through Europe and Asia. Detailed living experience and advice of the UK, Germany, Japan and Hong Kong.

A very crisp English voice.

Cooking.

Humour.
