About Me

Hi! Im Jacqui and I'm new to the couch surfing game. I'm an easy going, friendly girl from Australia who loves to explore and have new experiences. I have taken time off work for2015 so that I can take my time traveling new places that I have dreamed of visiting for some time now. I am a teacher and also help my family to operate a wildlife shelter at home. Life is busy, always interesting and there's definitely never a dull moment.

I have not had the chance to use this network yet, so all I'm asking for is a chance to meet some new people, see some new places. I promise I'll make a good guest. I'm friendly, considerate and always willing to lend a hand. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are so many great places I would love to experience and it would be great to experience different locations from another perspective.
When I end up with my own place to stay I would also love to continue participating in the CS network by hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jodi Picoult is a favourite author of mine as well as Dean Koontz and other suspense writers.
I LOVE Disney movies (particularly the Lion King), Harry Potter, and romantic comedies.
I have a very broad taste in music as long as it has a good beat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked at Ape Action Africa in Cameroon, an organisation that cares for orphaned and injured gorillas and chimpanzees.

Sky diving in Queenstown, New Zealand!

Working to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured and orphaned Australian wildlife at our home wildlife shelter.

Working a summer camp in Oregon, USA.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a laid back person who likes to spend quality time with people. I can offer a home cooked meal to hosts in appreciation for letting me stay and will be sure to leave without a trace.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bolivia, Botswana, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Laos, Malawi, Malaysia, Mexico, Namibia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Peru, South Africa, Thailand, United States, Vanuatu, Viet Nam, Zambia, Zimbabwe
