ABOUT US
We are a Dutch (Bas) Australian (Jacqui) couple who love to travel. We met while traveling in Indonesia two years ago. We have been through South East Asia as well as Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe. We looooove food. Anything about it. Eating it, smelling it, looking at it, cooking it or reading about it!! We love it!

We enjoy out door acivities. We're both passionate about diving. Hiking is also up there with things to do. Bas is right into Kite surfing. We're more than happy to spend our days at the beach snorkeling or layzing about!

After we met traveling in august 2013 we continued on through South East Asia together for almost six months. Then we returned home and decided Bas would come live in Australia. We lived in Western Australia for the next 7 or so months in a mining town called Kalgoorlie. I (Jacqui) was driving a truck for a scrap metal recycling company which was a big change from what I did previously (administration). Then we decided it was time to hit the road and start traveling again. We travelled for another six or so months. Thailand and Malaysia briefly again before heading over to the Philippines for two months. Then we went to Sri Lanka, India and Nepal. We have now come to live back in Holland in Bas' home town of Groningen. From there we will try to settle back into a normal life :P
Until that moment we temporarily live in Amsterdam.

Because we love our food and we would like to try more of the amazing food the world has to offer we would like to ask you to cook us one of your favourite homely dishes when you want to crash on our couch. Please use the word 'tablesalt' in your request if you want us to consider your stay on our couch. We do this because we want to be sure you took the time to read about us and think we can have a good time together. Happy days.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because we were travelling we only CS and chilled out. Now it is time to give something back to the couch surfing community and we start hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A couple of my travel mates in OZ introduced me to couchsurfing. So far I surfed in Townsville (OZ), Hervey Bay (OZ) and Brisbane (OZ), Kuala Lumpur (MY), Melacca (MY) and Hanoi (VIET)
