About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Build a new life in Australia
ABOUT ME
I joined Couchsurfing back in 2007 when I had just moved from my native UK to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have recently moved again: in November 2014 my partner Rafael and I moved from Buenos Aires to Melbourne, Australia. We are happy to be here and excited about building our new life in our new home!
I love travel, meeting people and learning about lives and cultures - hopefully all that's a given being involved with Couchsurfing! I also love reading (I'm an English teacher, aka book nerd!), hiking, dining, movies, lots of things. Life!
PHILOSOPHY
I wouldn't dream of leaving the house without having drunk a cup of coffee. And then, the show must go on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted in Buenos Aires, been hosted in Brazil and made new friends in various places around the world at Couchsurfing events. I love the Couchsurfing movement and am looking forward to getting actively involved here in Melbourne.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had amazing experiences surfing in Brazil, hosting in Argentina, and meeting CSers in various parts of both.

Music, Movies, and Books
The (original) Italian Job, Kill Bill, Pan's Labyrinth, Strictly Ballroom. Although I really enjoy watching movies, I have seen pitifully few. In fact, if I'd had a pound each time someone has exclaimed "I can't believe you haven't seen that film!!" at me, I'd be quite wealthy. Anyway. I have an eclectic taste in music that changes all the time. A few favourites are Vampire Weekend, Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, The Killers, Duffy. Books? Too many to list!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Relocating to Buenos Aires and then relocating again to Melbourne.
Teach, Learn, Share
If anyone fancies a chat about literature, or would like to learn a few basics in Spanish, or a few choice curses in Czech (my Mum is from the Czech Republic. I can't speak Czech, apart from a few funny curses!).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots and lots of travel tips for Buenos Aires, Argentina and lots of different places throughout South America!
