Overview
About Me
I am a chilean engineer working on a research institute in Stuttgart.
My free time is shared between doing sports (bicycling, skiing, football, jogging), spending time in the nature (hiking, camping), dancing, going to the theatre or to Poetry Slams, reading, meeting friends and last but not least discovering Germany and Europe :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My experience hosting people and being an amateur tour guide ;) has been really fun and very interesting. It's a great way to force to learn more about the history of where I live and at the same it never ceases to amaze me how incredible is to find things in common with people that come from the other corner of the world.
Now that I moved to Germany, and can't wait to discover Germany and Europe I will be experiencing the other side of the coin
Interests
In my free time I like to do sports (Football, riding my bike, jogging, skiing, hiking and swimming), reading (personal favorites are Borges, Cortazar, Kafka) and listening rock music.
I’m not a religious person but I would consider myself a spiritual person, I like to practice different types of meditation techniques.

Music, Movies, and Books
Literature: Borges, Cortazar, Kafka. In general novels that present a new viewpoint on familiar things.
Music: Rock music, from Satriani to Ramones, passing through Metal and most anything in between. Recently I've discovered really good german rock music: Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärtze, WIZO, Sportfreunde Stiller, Wir Sind Helden...
Movies: First and foremost "Memento", what a great movie and it's the only one where the begginning has a plot twist, then any movie of David Lynch (Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet come immediatly to my mind) and any interesting thriller, drama or comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My two last travel destinations were awesome.
At Buenos Aires I had the chance to see Boca Juniors playing at Bombonera stadium. Truly impressive to be inside that stadium, the people chanting and the closeness to the players make a very special atmosphere.
In Peru I got to see Machu Picchu. Words cannot start to explain the feeling that one gets when entering the ruins...
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Austria, Egypt, France, Germany, Netherlands, Peru, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
