About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Set my footprints on 50 countries and learning to be fluent in Spanish :)

ABOUT ME

Adventure seeker with a never-ending travelling list, I almost always fall in love with any city that I set my feet in, imagining myself as a local. I don't only talk about travelling, I DO IT! Amazing architectures, different cultures and local cuisine at various cities never cease to amaze me regardless how many places I have traveled. Most of my friends consider me as a travel junkie who would never run out of places to go. I'm always enthusiastic when it's about food, seeing that my hometown is a food haven.

CARPE DIEM!

PHILOSOPHY

Always be thankful for the little things and appreciate the people around you because they stay even when all else fade. Learn to love yourself and don't live your life seeking approval from people who don't know you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently staying at a student accommodation, I'm not able to provide a couch. Would like to surf on couches of like-minded people on my travels. My couch will be available when I start working and finally get my own place :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First time I heard about CouchSurfing is through a newspaper article when I was having lunch in Cambodia on my trip with my bestie in Dec 2010. Loving the idea of meeting people through this way, have always think about it and taking my first step to be part of the experience by surfing myself.

Easter break 2012 marks the start of my journey with CouchSurfing and that's how I met 3 amazing hosts that hosted me in Germany and Holland. Would love to host when I get my own place after graduation but still not sure if I'll be in UK or Malaysia or anywhere in the world. If I'm free, I'm always keen for a cup of coffee so just drop me an email or message :)

Interests

I spend my free time trying out new recipes or mostly cooking. A LOT! Just learned how to bake since I came to UK in Sept, enjoying it very much. Played a few sports and participated in a couple of Ultimate Frisbee tournaments. Tried surfing at Gold Coast once and constantly thinking about going back for more. Love to eat, love outdoor activities, love learning new languages and love making new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:Recent movie that further fuel my passion for living life to the fullest is The Dead Poet's Society (highly recommended!!) I worked at the cinema during my gap year and thus have watched countless movies for free with free popcorn and free sodas:) Can't keep track of what I have watched and what I have not, lots of which I have enjoyed and probably forgotten about the title. Nonetheless, big fan of mindless Cantonese comedies starring Stephen Chow.

TV series: How I met you mother, The big bang theory, Community, Scrubs, Friends, Futurama, American Dad, Family Guy, One Tree Hill, Greys Anatomy, Gossip Girl

Music: BIG BIG FAN of indie music, always can't remember song titles or artistes names as only go according to lyrics and melodies of songs.

Books: This is pretty hard as but depending on moods and all, I could enjoy a chickflick by Sophie Kinsella (NOT SHOPAHOLIC though) or thriller books such as the Girl with Dragon Tattoo series (movie hugely disappointing though) and Dan Brown series. Read Harry Potter when I was younger, still think that most(if not all)books are better than movies :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reaching the mountain top after 8 hours of hiking and looking down at eagles flying in between peaks. Took a month's training which includes 2x a week climbing a 20-storey building 6x each time.
