About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning about myself, nature and the world to improve it slowly :)
ABOUT ME
Hola, allô, hi!!! I'm a 30 year old canadian, I speak first french, after english and finally spanish, which I learned traveling through Mexico, central and south america! Now I really want to learn portuguese. So an important thing about me: I LOVE traveling like enveryone else here. My target now while I am traveling: to learn as much as I can, meet people, but more than anything improve myself and my community on the long term.
I studied law because I see it as a powerful tool for helping people and changing my society. I did volunteer work in Bolivia, Ecuador, Mali and Cambodia and settled back home in Montreal, where I worked in a legal NGO for the homeless and after with indigenous people. Now, I am back on the road for a little more discoveries in Bolivia and Brazil!!
I love dancing, cooking, hiking, biking, yoga, thaï massage... I spend lots of time in the forest, especially on a beautiful piece of land I owned with friends where we built a garden and a few cabins to disconnect from the ectic city Life. think I have various personalities : I can sometimes be a workholic, studying or rushing one of my crazy law projets, while other times chilling for days!
That;s a little bit about me!
I am actually trying to learn as much as I can from people I meet traveling or simply living, I think my life philosophy will always be in progress. I deeply feel we need to find our inner light and see that of others in order to improve this planet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted many couchsurfers through the profile of my twin sister Maryse, I loved every experience! I did some couchsurfing around the Balkans and I loved it! I love helping other travelers, I think It;s all about karma: giving and receiving with openess, this is CS :)
Interests
TOO MANY! I often feels like I would need 24hours of action every day, no sleep! Apart from studying and working, I dedicate a lot of time to political and social activism in many areas: human rights, right to protest, the student mouvement, homeless rights, etc. I spend the rest seeing friends, camping, biking, reading, cooking, and meeting new people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love world beat, folk, dubb, reggea, cumbia, etc. I love dancing with a few people in a house or with hundreds in a festival! I love reading philosophical or historical books, but I need more inspiration !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
MmMmMmm I have done some crazy-stupid things traveling, such as crossing all Guatemala on a chicken bus during three days to save 20$, escaladé des montagnes péruviennes avec des israéliens sortis de l'armée beaucoup trop en forme, passé deux mois à zigzaguer entre les tuk-tuk dans les rues de Phnom Penh le pied dans le plâtre, fait de la filature avec la police mexicaine pour retracer ma caméra volée, bref, que d'histoires qui se racontent mieux en face-à-face. What I always remember the most are always the same though: people and nature. I can spend days hiking and camping, or days discovering new people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think as a host and as a couchsurfer it is super important to express what we expect from the CS experience. As a host, I love receiving independant, open-minded, creative, respectful people. Bring as much food as you eat in our fridge (or a little more) and fell welcome to all our activities! I try to do the same as a surfer!
Couchsurfing for me is not a free bed, but a free human experience. If I write to you to couchsurf, it's because I feel we can connect, share and learn from each other.
