About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm on a mission to educate myself. I'm trying to figure out how the world works. Once I figure it out I'll start making it better.
ABOUT ME
Gday, I'm a easy doing guy who likes to chill out and have a chat, a few drinks and hear other peoples stories. I love to run, cycle and swim and have a pretty liberal world view. I've done a fair bit of travelling doing different things and love to share my experiences but I'm probably more interested in finding out about cool stuff that I havent got a chance to do yet.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm curious and just want to learn more. I dont particularly want to change anything, just want to understand it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty new to couch surfing and dont have a couch to offer yet, but I like to think I participate by being a gracious guest.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the past I've only couch surfed with friends and acquaintances but have met some hosts over the last few weeks and want to get more involved.
Interests
Anything and everything. I'm studying political economy but know that most people find that pretty boring, so I'm totally able to keep my enthusiasm to myself. I love to travel, read, watch movies, go running, go for a ride, swim, hike, eat and chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just saw Inception. Thought that was a pretty cool movie. I listen to Aussie hip hop and would be happy to share it with you if you've never heard it (most haven't!). I love European classic literature but read a load of science fiction as a younger lad.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was on National Mall for Barack Obama's Inauguration, that was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spent one year working in a leadership office in the United States Congress. I didnt do much policy work but I got to shadow a prominent Congressman for a year and got to see how things work there. A lot of people have preconceived ideas about the nature of politics at that level and I'd be happy to tell you what I saw and thought about it.
I also study conflict states and am pretty conversant in conflicts post-1945. I'm always happy to talk about how conflict can be prevented or resolved to make this world better for everyone in it.
Countries I’ve Visited
