Overview
About Me
I'm a 27 year old South African who has recently quit my job as a high school teacher in order to travel for 6 months. I only started traveling at the end of December and have another few months in Europe before I go to the UK for 3 months to visit my family and friends.
I am looking to meet new people, and see as much of Europe as possible (in that order). One of my favorite things to do is to go out with my friends for a dinner or drinks, so I figured, the more friends I have...the more I can go out and see new places.
I would fully expect that anyone who is able to host me, would come and visit me in South Africa at some point so that I could host them in return.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am looking at meeting new people and seeing new places, and have only heard positive results from couch surfing. I am open and honest and very easy to get along with.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - anything I can dance or sing along to from Josh Groban to David Gueatta.
Movies - I enjoy a good romantic/comedy every now and then, but also quite enjoy action. Anything MARVEL is pretty much great, and anything with a bit of humor.
Books - I chop and change between crime type novels (nothing too graphic) and romantic dramas.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It varies depending on your definition is amazing... From horse back riding on the beach in Cape Town to quitting my job so I can travel to walking along the Victoria falls in Zimbabwe. But I can say the thing that amazed me the most, was the courage I found in myself to travel across South Africa by myself for a few days. In 8 days, I managed to be in 7 of the 9 provinces.
Teach, Learn, Share
The one thing I think South Africans do best is to laugh at themselves. To find the humor in any situation and address the moment in a light hearted sense. I would love to learn new ways of life, new habits and new cultures. I could share time and passion for the country I am in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share a South African way of life, and plenty laughs. I would love to be able to brag about my beautiful country and hopefully find some good wines to introduce to anyone who would be willing to try.
