About Me
Hello!
If you are reading this, I am on a journey by foot. I start walking in Slovenia and will walk south on the Via Dinarica. I have a tent with me, so if you have a garden, I can stay in your garden.
The Via Dinarica is a long distance path that starts from Slovenia, goes through Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and ends in Albania. It is a big dream and challenge for me. On the way, I hope to stay with people, which is why I am using my couchsurfing account. I am sorry if I send you a message within a short notice, but that is because I cannot plan many days in advance since my walking route is determined by the circumstances.
I hope we can meet each other and become friends, since it is sometimes a little lonely to walk all by yourself.
Here are some facts about me, but if you want to know more, you can always ask:
- I studied in many disciplines, varying from arts, anthropology, sociology, religion and eventually choose to go in the direction of environmental philosophy and politics
- I worked as a yoga teacher.
- I like to take pictures and edit films.
- I travelled around the world, and worked for 6 months in the Canada.
- I love nature, and also love to experiencing the vibes of a city. (That is why I love walking, you experience every aspect of the landscape, the beauty, the ugly, and all in between!)
- I'm not a huge fan of parties (but I never say never), but I love a glass of wine/beer with a good conversation.
And I like peanut butter with carrots. Great combination! If you have more questions, feel free to ask. :)
(I didn't Couchsurf a lot the past years, since I started studying. But I already have a bit of experience. And no, I'm not looking for a partner. )
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I arrive to a new city and stay in a hostel it's already great to be there, but there is always a distance between me and the place I visit, while if I stay with people who live there, I learn so much more about where I am!
I've had such good experiencing Couchsurfing and hitchhiking, i think it is just a great way to meet new people and to break barriers between strangers. Traveling like this made me realize how good and trustworthy people are, everywhere!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Mostly 70’ and 80’
Books: My current favorite book is the Overstory, by Richard Powers. But there are so many other great books, like Into the Wild, Never Let Me Go, Bewilderment, Call Me By Your Name, Alone, and A Night Train to Lisbon. I love fantasy (The Name of the Wind!), but I recently read more travels memoirs..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked the Camino the Santiago, 1400 km from Irun (in Spain) tot Porto (Portugal).
Teach, Learn, Share
My favorite activity in a new city is to walk around the boring neighborhoods, to look at the gardens and see how people live. I also love long nature walks or in any other way of exploring.
I am trying to learn the most common plant and animal species, so I can recognize a bird by its sound, and a plant by its shape and smell. I like to forage wild plants and mushrooms, but I still only know the most common species.
I am a bit of a nerd about backpacking gear, so if you need any advice, let me know! And in my free time I like to make things with my hands: baking, knitting, painting, writing etc. I also love to read, but there is too little time for that haha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach English, do handiwork, and I'm a certified yoga teacher. But mainly I have a lot of stories and other nonsense to share! I also like to cook and bake vegetarian dishes 😊
I can share many travel stories and weird philosophies!
