Overview
About Me
In the winter I live in northern California, grow fruit and veggies, taking care of animals, teach botany and plant ID, and generally keep busy. In the summer I work as a field botanist, surveying for rare plants and noxious weeds, pulling weeds, doing research, and habitat restoration. I work different places each year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I go to a new place for summer work it would be nice to meet interesting people and have a place to stay for a few days before I have a chance to find a place to rent.
When I am home in the late fall, winter, and early spring I am also interested in hosting people who are interesting in botany/plants, homesteading, growing and preserving food and rural living.
