ABOUT ME
Hey!
I'm Jade. I was born in Belgium but only lived there 3 years before moving to Portugal and then France.
I'm currently a student in a Business and Development school and hopefully after my master I will be working for NGOs in the humanitarian field. For now I've spent most of my summers volunteering for different NGOs but I will now have to consider finding an actual job... Which is a shame, because volunteering was one of my most rewarding and amazing experience so far.
I love to travel, mostly by myself because it's the best way to meet amazing people. I really now really want to discover sub-saharian Africa and Centra Asia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I already surfed and now I'm ready to help fellow travelers to have a good time in Lyon. I would be happy to show them around if they want to. I really love my city and I would like to prove to everyone that France is not only Paris :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing time surfing in Rio and I got in touch with loads of very nice people. I think this is a great project and I am determine to make my part somehow.
Interests
I love meeting new people, discover new cultures and traveling. I think it's the best way to learn more about the world and about yourself. So far I mainly traveled around in Europe and also in Nothern Africa. I also went to Japan which was an incredible experience and now I am in Brazil.
I like doing my part so I volunteer for two months in a turtle protection society in Greece and now I am running a fundraising campaign for an environnemental organization in Brazil.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mainly like fantasy books and movies such as The Lord of the Rings, R. Feist and D. Gemmell's books.
Concerning music, I really discovered and love Latin America's music. Perfect for dancing but also chill.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking the "Itajuru mountain" in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Quite an accomplishement for a non-sportive girl like me. Took us 7 hours, we suffered a lot but we finally did it!
