Hi folks - I'm Jade, a 24 year old, positive, outgoing, single girl from the UK currently on my first solo backpacking adventure.

Since leaving school in 2009, I have gained a first class BA Degree in History of Art, lived in Italy, lived in London and lived in St Lucia in the Caribbean. I have worked in advertising, retail and tourism and now plan to train as a Nutritional Therapist upon returning to the UK after my travels.

In the last year, while living and working in the Caribbean, I started a food blog www.whenlifegivesyoucoconuts.com and have discovered a real passion for healthy, organic, local food as a fundamental element of a healthy and happy lifestyle.

My rash move to the Caribbean as a replacement for my 9-5 advertising job in London changed my life and since then I have been keen to further my horizons, discover other cultures and be inspired by people all over the planet in order to better myself as a person.

I am fairly new to CS but have had some great experiences so far - it is such an awesome way to travel. Most importantly it makes you realise how many good people there are in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although it's wonderful meeting a whole fellow backpackers as I travel, my experience of living abroad to date has taught me that it is the local people that make or break a place. I want to have the opportunity to experience some incredible countries from a local perspective and make great friends all over the world!
