COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the privilege of hosting some wonderful people from this community. I've laughed with them, enjoyed their company, and have stayed up late into the night listening to their fascinating and often hilarious travel stories. When I lived in Mexico, I made some amazing friends through this site that I continue to stay in contact with (and even visit!), though we are now in different parts of the world.
Interests
I love being outside, and I do a lot of complaining early October through mid-April. I have mostly bad things to say about winter in Washington. Except for skiing, that's great fun. In the summer I like: growing sugar snap peas, sungold tomatoes and flowers, hiking, floating my giant inflatable swan on my favorite lake, biking to my favorite bar that has a nice sunny patio and exciting sounding cocktails with flower petals and other fancy business floating around in them.
Things I do year round: sing to my cats, convince myself I have more money than I do and spend what I have on clothes and cool things I find at antique stores.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm keeping this short because it hurts my brain making lists like this.
Music: Led Zeppelin, Josh Garrels, Bon Iver, Billie Holiday.
Movies: The Dark Crystal. Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Legends of the Fall, Live Die Repeat, Benny & Joon, anything with Fred Astaire, especially Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth (((swoon))).
Books: The Fox Woman, Tiny Beautiful Things, C.S. Lewis, In The Night Garden, the diaries of Anais Nin, the bible.
I don't know where else to put this, but it sort of relates to movies: I am in love with John Cleese.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Decided at 18 to run off to Mexico with a cute guy and his cute accent who happened to be a drummer in a rock band. Shockingly [insert eye roll], it did not end well. But that's not the amazing part. The amazing part is that I lived for 6 years abroad and traveled Mexico working as a makeup artist, which was the coolest.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am going full beast mode this year with my henna, booking my summer weekends solid with festivals. I would love to gift my hosts with henna, I always have plenty extra during festivals!
