I'm a Canadian who moved to Silicon Valley in 2022. I have a deep love for nature, culture, and human expression/creativity.

I believe life's greatest journey is to know ourselves, challenge our assumptions, and learn new things so we can come alive in new ways.

I really enjoy engineering problem-solving and have been on a fitness journey the past year through triathlon and marathoning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about this wonderful community when I met a couchsurfer in Vienna. That same evening, I joined my first CS meet-up and love the way the platform facilitates rich cultural exchange and community-building!

Music taste varies greatly, but lately a lot of symphonic scores: Gladiator, Inception, Princess Mononoke, Journey (video game). Old school rock.
Movies: Inception, 1917, Lord of the Rings.
TV shows: Breaking Bad, Rick and Morty, Stargate, Doctor Who (Eccleston to Capaldi)
Books: Dune, Sapiens, Dare to Lead, Extreme Ownership.

Designed electronics for my team's fully student-funded satellite launch!
On a less tech-y note: built a driftwood shelter on a Northern Ontario rock beach that survived the winter until the next summer when I returned!

I'm very curious about technology, entrepreneurship, and the different ways people live around the world. I'd love to share what I've learned and learn something new from you!

I raced a half ironman triathlon in September 2023. I'm happy to share any tips from the library of videos and resources I've consumed on swimming, biking, running, and importantly consistent training.

I am able and willing to help out in whatever ways I can: cooking, cleaning dishes, community outreach, home hardware projects, etc.

I would love to exchange travel tips and share Canadian/American culture and adventure opportunities. I learned French in school and would relish any opportunity to keep myself sharp.
