Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm a lifelong student and an avid adventurer who tries to enjoy every step of the journey! I'm born and raised in the cornfields of Michigan, but I'm currently residing in South San Francisco, CA for work as a biochemist. I've been playing guitar for over half of my life, and enjoy road cycling, hiking, slacklining, urban exploring...basically just being outdoors! Very friendly, willing and eager to try new things, and just looking to make the most out of my time here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Trying to find a place to crash in preparation for my first 100 mile bike ride!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Huge variety, from Led Zeppelin to the Gorillaz. Tend to enjoy most things that fall under rock, blues, jazz, electronica (house/ dnb / experimental modular synth), but am open to many things!
Movies:
Don't spend a lot of time watching movies, but if I had to pick one, Pulp Fiction. Requiem For a Dream is another favorite.
Books:
Most of my reading is scientific publications and literature, but "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" by Tom Wolfe resonates with me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two of my close friends and I lived out of a van for a month, traveling the US for 9000 miles and hitting many of the major national parks along the way!
Teach, Learn, Share
You can learn something from every single person on this planet! My gears get going with biochemistry (protein chemistry specifically), medicine, physiology, biotechnology, and science in general! I'm currently learning more about investing and personal finance, and am always looking to expand myself in one way or another (cooking, language, other unrelated fields).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been told I'm very friendly and great at conversation! My ideal host would be willing to sit down, have a drink or two, and just talk about the area and their lives!
