About Me

CURRENT MISSION

if it's not fun, why do it?

ABOUT ME

i've lived in new hampshire almost my whole life...born and raised. there are a lot of things to do here if you enjoy nature. i love being outdoors, but most importantly, i am a skier and have been doing it since i was 4. i live to ski! folks who ski, understand why i wake up early, make turns through lunch, only to leave for work in the afternoon...and those who dont ski, never understand the ritual and call me crazy...it might be true, but who is having more fun?!! it's all i really think about and even on the nicest, sunny, warm day, im wishing for big dumps of snow i can ski on. nothing beats skiing POW!

PHILOSOPHY

...it's natural!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i haven't done a lot of couchsurfing and i am new to this cs world...hopefully, this will change soon and i can edit this box. I hope to sleep on a few couches.

Interests

skiing, paddling, hiking, photography, art, guinness, cooking good food, eating good food, baking, bacon, zombies, sleeping, nature, reading maps, getting lost and finding my way back home.

Music, Movies, and Books

yeah, movies are cool, but i love music...erykah badu, the roots, talib kweli, grace potter & the nocturnals, duty free, donovon frankenreiter, jack johnson, tedeschi trucks and lots of classic rock.

when i pick up a book, it usually has something to do with my interests...like a guide or how-to's. i like skiing mags.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

these sort of things usually involve the local wildlife...i was paddling one very early morn up the east inlet, pittburg nh, when i came up on a moose 10ft from me. she was just as comfortable with me as i was with her. she let me watch and photograph her for 45 min before i paddled on up stream. we had a moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

please, leave no trace www.lnt.org outdoor ethics:) i first learned about leave no trace ethics when i was 17 and it's our responsibility to spread the word...grab a garbage bag.

in nh, if you hit any kind of wild game with your vehicle, you have first dibs on it. so don't be surprised if somebody pulls over and asks, "are you gonna eat that?? I have!

i would like to learn the telemark turn...free my heels! i've alpine skied forever, so learning to tele will be fun and challenging. i am looking forward to learning something new, that's old!
