ABOUT ME

After Travelling parts of Europe and the Middle East I have come back to my beautiful country and seen it through new eyes.
Anyone passionate about travel will know that however strong the allure of home, the desire to see new environments can unsettle with its magnetism1
Thus my path on my new adventures has been decided and for the next few years I plan to see and experience Asia and the Middle East, meet its peoples, see its natural beauty and hopefully learn as much as possible from the infinite wisdom that exists.

PHILOSOPHY

Knowing what you do not and respecting what you do is an important on the path to wisdom.
Humanity is ancient and considering the society in which I live, European Australia, is very young, this means there is an infinite amount of wisdom of which I am yet to experience.
Most impoirtantly have faith in life, love it and be prepared to learn what you do not know...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to debate and philosophize and truly believe meeting new people and gaining an insight into how they view the world is a fantastic way to do this, learn about different people and gain a better understanding of my place on this planet. Hopefully, I believe, that by sharing my opinions and insights and respectively listening to and taking an active interest in others, I will be assisting in bringing greater knowledge and wisdom to both my, and others lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

No Country for Old Men - film. Music - Too much to list but currently Flamenco Arabe and Shpongle are doing it for me. Chopper from the Inside - an all time classic book.
Three Cups of Tea is a fantastic Book!
Son of a Lion is a great movie.
The Edge of Heaven is a fantastic movie but I must say Faith Akin's earlier movie "Head-On" was extremely powerful and incredibly real.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen so much beauty, in people, animals and nature that it is hard to pick one but I will try with a few examples:
The snow-capped mountains beside sky-blue Lake Van on a 28c day was I will never forget.
The lavish and green fern gullies and forest's of my home state Victoria's alpine region (which sadly succumbed to bushfire last year) were one of the most beautiful things I have experienced.
The lovely green hillside of Sarajevo and the valleys of Goreme in Cappadocia, Turkey were amazing.
So much more and so few words my hope is to see and feel as much as I can of what wonders exists on this planet.
