Nice to meet you all!
I am a Ph. D. student at California Institute of Technology (Caltech). I am originally from Seoul, South Korea and have lived in Canada France, and the US. I love traveling around the world, cycling, and spending quality time with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet and actually get to know some local people while traveling and share ideas and perspectives. I have stayed at hostels many times before and I still keep in contact with some friends I met there.

While I hear great things about couchsurfing from friends, I have never couchsurfed! I look forward to the awesome experiences with hosts!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like pretty much everything except country music.

Books: I tend to enjoy biographies. Reading about leaders (in political, business, science, and engineering) is a great source of motivation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 14, I moved from South Korea to Canada without my family to learn English and other cultures and I didn't know how to speak English back then. I guess I was a rebellious and adventurous kid. haha I am still studying abroad technically. 13 years and counting!
