About Me

I can't accept guest right now because I live in a share house and I don't have any accommodations or space for a guest.

My name is Najah, but I go by Jah. I am a student from Temple University studying architecture. The counties I have lived in are Palestine, United States, and Japan.

During June, I will be exploring most of Japan with my older sister. We are visiting Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo.

I am looking forward to my backpacking Southeast Asia trip. I plan to explore explore Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Beijing, and South Korea during July and August of 2016.

Im thinking about starting a traveling blog since I plan to travel so much!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think spending time with a local is the best thing about traveling. I try to find a guesthouse where the host is usually around and engages with its travelers. I get to understand the culture and see the country in a different way, through the locals eye, instead of the typical tourist eye. I get a better understanding of the country I'm visiting by conversations and hang outs with my host. Obviously having free accommodation is a great relief and perk, but spending time with travelers and the host is the bigger perk.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just watched "In Time" on Netflix and it was such a thought-provoking film. I highly recommend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most recent adventure is scuba diving in Cape Maeda in Okinawa, Japan. It was so amazing! I felt like a real fish touch the bottom of the ocean (not too deep) and being face to face with fishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can have intellectual conversations. I can offer my time to hang out, take photos, and do new things for us.
