About Me

What time is it? Adventure Time! Definitely looking forward to meeting new and exciting people who are willing to explore every nook and cranny of every island in this amazing world we call home.

Aspiring indie musician (drummer since forever, uke, a tad bit of piano and flute), food aficionado, shokutsu-blogger, and full-time backpacker. Passion is my game, and I can say I definitely am a pro at this. I could call myself a spontaneous adventurer who is a definite go on anything and everything that life throws at me. I love to discover new places - including food spots of course! - and I am currently working on expanding my food photography blog via VSCO (jaidavid.vsco.co) and Instagram (instagram.com/noodoruu). Sometimes when I am in an all-time low though (most of the time is due to lack of funds lol), I fancy hanging out at coffee shops and bakeries (I LOVE BREAD, YES) and read a few good books, or finish writing my stories. Soul-searching time is when I live for art, long walks in parks, bread-baking, photography, and music.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything happens for a reason. And by reason, I mean physics and science.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm highly adaptable to different personalities. Be my friend and we can dance like Luna Lovegood under nargles in raddish earrings, like it's the last Triwizard Tournament to ever take place!

Interests

"Die-hard Harry Potter fan, through and through." Include in the list almost all books of Professor Tolkien, Stephen King, and Carl Sagan. So by now you probably would have guessed that I love science, fiction, and science fiction. Hence, then, my unwavering lust for new adventures, be it mountains or beaches or supermassive blackholes or parallel dimensions, or basically just a new orgasmic next-door food stall -- I am going to have to try, experience, and discover everything before oblivion claims my well-lived soul.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES. I live for sci-fi, but I also love satire/comedy/psychological thrillers. Few of my all-time favorites would have to be (of course) The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit, Star Wars, and the Harry Potter series (although I must say, I would still choose the books).
MUSIC. I prefer either indie, alternative, or classic rock. I am obsessed with The Beatles and The Killers. I spent half my month's salary last year just so I can see Brandon Flowers perform live and practically melt me out. Oh, I also used to be a drummer for two different indie bands. Nuff said for now.
BOOKS. You know what I want. Tell me you love Harry Potter, and we will be friends forever. You won't regret it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on an out-of-the-country trip to Hong Kong for the first time without adult supervision last January, 2014. It was amazing because there were absolutely NO limits to what I've done and experienced. I've climbed Dragon's Back, went on a personal Yowayowa documentary excursion, ate different kinds of animal innards and intestines, jellyfish, and preserved, stinky black eggs for all anyone could care. It was a great and amazing month, and I will definitely have to do this again soon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a highly opinionated person who bases everything on science and proven facts, and revolves almost everything on logic. So ask away if you must, and I'll gladly share everything in my knowledge to shed light. I'd also love to hear other people's opinions, as I believe that one person cannot truly learn without diversity, open-mindedness, and acceptance.
