About Me

hey, i'm jemma. been living in eugene OR forever, (twenty seven years counts as forever in my lil book anyway). i'm intentionally alternative, which i think is another way of saying that i'm fully on board with alternative health, organic food, connective communication (hell, connection at all is pretty awesome) and the energetics of body work. wow. sounding fluffy...also. i'm really fun. note. fun for me isn't like barhopping fun. it's more like, sitting around and stretching, reading each others tarot fun, drinking a lil wine n making roasted veggies for dinner n having an impromptu dance party then you tube off fun. Yknow...chill ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

like a lot of people in american culture, i'v spent a pretty hefty amount of time focused on work, and less on my own alignment. now i wanna work on the stuff inside. it's self work, in service to the world around me. i'm gonna jump down to arizona n do some workshops in cranial sacral(energetic healing work, amazing stuff, really), n then I'm off to indonesia. been years in the making. i love the idea of a global network of travelers hitting each others couches.. it makes so much sense :) if people are learning the same lessons (as it seems like they are...love, self worth, what we give and what we take away from any interaction are NOT exclusive), but every person brings their own perceptive angle on how to navigate them, seems to me we can learn each others angles, and light up the whole thing....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

bought tools for a kid in haiti(doesn't sound like much, you just have to see the place)
swum in glacial water (hell i wd do that NOW)
swimming in a hurricane in the dead of winter(now THATS some hot water)
gave mouth to mouth to a baby squirrel....and brought it back from the other side (kay, that's just embarrassing, and goes directly against what i said bout not putting just anything in our mouths)

Teach, Learn, Share

1.what can i say, i love to talk about food ;) no no really, i've learned a ton about why we don't just put anything in our mouths......snicker

2.kay, no really.... i can help you build a house, a glass kiln or foundry, or a better mouse trap...but so can you tube 8/

3.my gift to the world is bodywork. no license mind you, but people come out better and not worse

What I Can Share with Hosts

i'm wired for exchange, not so much for just receiving. if it CAN'T be cash, then i REALLY like to cook great food, help people through their projects(i know a LOT of things. keep me away from the computers), guide people through some of their old patterns, damages, or stories, or offer body or energy work.

Countries I’ve Visited

Dominican Republic, France, Haiti, Italy, Mexico
