About Me
Hey surfers!
I'm Jaime, travelling on my first solo trip around Europe. I've just finished a 5 month exchange in Groningen, a quaint but vibrant little student city north of Amsterdam, studying media and communications, and now spending the rest of the year traipsing around Europe.
Meeting new people, sharing laughs, stories, and ideas, and learning from each other, is what brought me to study media in the first place, and travel is such a great opportunity to experience that on a new level. I believe the greatest things I've learnt in life so far, and have influenced me to be who I am, have been the people I've met along the way, so am always up for making new friends!
I love a cup of tea and a chat, but also love going to a bar for drinks, especially if there's dancing.
Music has always been a part of my life. I grew up singing from a young age and went to a performing arts school in Sydney. As far as genre's go, my favourite to sing would have to be Jazz, although my audience these days is usually the shower head! But would certainly be up for a jam.
One of my favourite things is being outdoors, particularly swimming at the beach or a freshwater lake or going on a hike! Corny as it sounds, nature always calms me down, and puts things in perspective, so try to get some nature in everyday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why not? The chance to meet new people and be invited into someones home seems like a much more fun way to get to know a place and its people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can find something I like in most genres, and love to find new music. I mostly listen to indie bands, acoustic, the classics like the Beatles, and music with a blend of electronic and real instruments, like Bonobo, Bon Iver.
I'm a shameless Romantic Comedy addict (especially the classics like When Harry Met Sally), but also love documentaries, comedy, and dramas, like Cloud Atlas.
