Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel on a college dime. I enjoy hitch-hiking and train hopping (yes on the roof) so couch surfing is a perfect way to find a place to stay. I have slept on the streets before because I feel you can't know a city until you know its streets and its people. I discovered CS and decided it was a more efficient and comfortable way to accomplish the same thing.

Interests

I'm an art student and I focus in printmaking. I particularly gravitate toward etching and screenprint. But all art medias interest me! I love music and being outdoors. I enjoy playing soccer. I love slow living but I also love to dance and enjoy a good party.

Music: I love Lord Huron and Magic Man. Those are two of my favourite bands. Then of course you've got your staples, Coldplay, Simon and Garfunkle. Good range of stuff. Patti Griffin, Patti Smith, Fleet Foxes, Smashing Pumpkins, Mika, Stromae, Marshall Tucker Band, Marty Robbins, Rhianna
Film: Dan in Real Life, Nacho Libre, Life is Beautiful (Italian film), The Intouchables (French Film), Inglorious Basterds, Hot Rod, Forest Gump, About Time are few of my favs. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Forest Gump
TV: Breaking Bad (Greatest TV of all time), Sherlock, El Chavo del 8, Phineas and Ferb, New Girl
Books: Ivanhoe is a great one. I've read it a lot and love it. Till We Have Faces was incredible. Anything Lewis really. Pygmallion, the Three Musketeers, Dracula, The English Patient (stellar read), Moonwalking with Einstein, Edmund Spenser (Specifically Faerie Queene) and of course, Harry Potter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to make a print! I can also build tables and other furniture. I'm fairly good with my hands and am accustomed to construction and all sorts of woodwork. I can play a few instruments (jack of all trades master of none sort of thing). I speak a smattering of Languages other than English and Spanish and love practicing or teaching (what little I know). I can use Photoshop, Illustrator, Muse, Premiere, and Blender if you need any digital media projects. I am also a certified CPR Pro instructor.
