ABOUT ME

My name is Jaime, and I am an undergraduate attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I LOVE cooking, running, reading, and singing. I am also open to learning new cultures and languages, I love the world and everyone in it! Someday, I hope to also visit Asia, once I learn Chinese! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in the kindness of strangers. When you open your home to a traveler, you are allowing them to feel a deep connection to your homeland, to your culture; when I was on someone else's couch, I felt 100x more welcome than any experience in a hostel could have given me.

I am on couchsurfing to participate in culture exchange, and also just to hang out with awesome people and have a good time!

Interests

Cooking, reading, video editing, running, biological sciences, just to name a few. I also really like doing adventurous things like canoeing and rock climbing.

I also love meeting new people and learning about the way they live and view the world. Everyone in the world has a unique story, and to me that is fascinating!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Phoenix, Daft Punk, Queen, Regina Spektor, Dave Matthews Band, and a lot of other music. I also love the movie UP, and I love too many books to fit in this little box!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower at night was absolutely incredible. I would do it every night if I could.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to cook a lot of different kinds of food. I do a lot of baking back home, so I could give some homemade recipes of how to make american treats like brownies and cookies! In exchange, I would love to know how to make some traditional meals as well!
