About Me

I studied Graphic Design in London where I lived for 8 years.
Recently, I've been travelling a lot in Latin America. Now I'm trying to re-create the free spirit lifestyle I had in Colonia, Uruguay's small resort city. I camped on the river bank and ran a small shop of souvenirs (hand-painted T-shirts, dream-catchers and faber masks) that I made myself.
Later, I taught English to a group of 10 people in Brazil. My two dreams now is to get to know all the cities in Israel where I haven't been (I recently realized that there are many small town and yeshuvim that I've never even heard of) and to get involved in volunteering. My aspiration is to eventually to work with disabled children.

I like Argentinean theater, Soviet films, Brazilian writers, English castles, Israeli songs about war and religious Mizrachi music, and Russian food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like couchsurfing events, it's a great opportunity to meet people who I'd never come across otherwise. It's also fascinating the way these events are organised in different countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an eternal kid inside so I'm never happier than when listenning to Enid Blyton's stories and Just William series on audiobooks.

Other books:
Nihonjin by Oscar Nagasaka (abour Japanese immigration in Brazil)
"Crime and Punishment" Dostoevsky
Pushkin
Nora Ephron
"Master and Margarita" by Bulgakov
Jorge Amado
"The Hero of Our Times" and "Vadim" by Lermontov
Frida Kahlo Biography
"Lolita" and "Enchanter" by Nabokov
"Racconti Romani" Alberto Moravia
Gianni Rodari

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) I wrote a short story that got 13th place in the Writer's Digest Annual Competition. I don't know how amazing is that, though, because I heard that it isn't exactly the coolest literary magazine but I was thrilled at the time.

2) I've drawn the Che Guerumpy cat on my profile pictire :D
I had a small business by the river side in Uruguay, selling the souvenirs I designed. The T-shirts with that cat design were among those but, unfortunately, people hated the design. There was a funny story about it. Just after I printed it, in Brazil there began a big to-do about the communist party, so nobody wanted red because it was the ex-president's colour. You could actually get linched for wearing red. And in Uruguay Che Guevara is an icon, so people with grave expressions tried to educate me about the fact that he wasn't a cat!

3) I studied on a 3-months long tattooing course in Buenos Aires and tattooed a few people :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn Japanese, Korean, French and German. I really like the idea of a genuine free language exchange, where you can teach me your language/languages and I can teach you mine. I believe it's the best way to learn. I'm not fan of courses.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm probably the only person in the world who likes washing up the dishes!

My language skills

Free T-shirt with my Grumpy Cat-Che Guevara design :) :)

I can teach you basics of chalk drawing and also tattoing
