Overview
About Me
I'm from Ecuador, but I moved to Canada when I was 17. I've been living in Toronto (and surrounding areas) ever since. I want to be a filmmaker when I "grow up" and I've been working at trying to make it in the biz. I am also a musician and I have played in a few bands throughout the years. I haver performed a lot and even recorded and full album that you can find on spotify:
Babalao Stereo Club - The Latin Bang Theory: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4HtdVU8jVqNRL2XElaVHr8
You can also find me on instagram: @taitapedro www.instagram.com/taitapedro

I also love cycling and rollerblading, and I love using them as a form of transportation in the big city.
I just lost my job and moved back to my parent's place which makes it difficult for me to host. Hopefully when things are looking brighter and I'm back in my own space I will be able to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have heard of couch surfing from friends who have a lot of experience with it and I've always liked the idea, but I haven't been doing much travelling other than going back home to Ecuador to see my family.
Since I'm not currently working, I booked a flight to London, and once there I'm planning a short backpacking trip around Europe in November 2016 so I made this account for that. This will be my first time doing something like this and I'm really excited.
I am looking forward to making friends through here and seeing the world.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: The Spice Girls
Movies: The Spice Girls movie
Books: Do The Spice Girls have a book?
Tea: You're probably thinking Spiced Chai, but no. It's actually Earl Grey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently went to Long Island and NYC to shoot a documentary on 9/11 first responders. I got to meet a lot of amazing people, and hear their stories some of which are really sad, but they were an amazing source of inspiration. I also got to briefly meet and interview Jon Stewart who is very involved with the responders. He's is just as genuine, nice and awesome as he seems. Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhnutLJpqs0
Another cool thing I got to do, was open for my favorite band. Los Amigos Invisibles from Venezuela are some of the funkiest cats you'll ever hear. I've seen them live 5 times, and on one of those times my band was the opening act here in Toronto. It was a surreal experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you songs on the guitar, or some basic salsa dancing moves. I can also teach you some spanish swear words, or how to play samba on the drums.
I would like to learn how to Tango, some cooking recipes, French.
