Hi I'm Sloane :) I’m a music publicist from Miami and lifetime travel fanatic. I’ve traversed 20+ countries across six continents and love nothing more than immersing myself in foreign cultures, meeting new people and exploring the world.

I'm an outgoing and easygoing girl who loves outdoor activities, live music, local wine, new cuisines and late-night adventures. My life motto is "why not?" so I'm always up for new experiences.

Travel means everything to me - it's my raison d'etre. In the words of American composer Paul Bowles, "I’ve always wanted to get as far as possible from the place where I was born. Far both geographically and spiritually, I feel that life is very short and the world is there to see, and one should know as much of it as possible. One belongs to the whole world, not just one part of it."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Last year I quit my job to backpack Europe solo, and I had a fantastic time meeting locals and expats who shared their lovely communities with me. I'm looking to feel the true local flavor of the places I travel - show me your favorite hidden gems of your town and I'll be your friend for life xo

Music, Movies, and Books

Music fuels my soul and is my main passion in life! I'm a huge fan of house, techno and underground electronic acts, some of my favorites are DJ Koze, Dusky, Romare, Justin Martin, Daniel Avery and Maya Jane Coles. I also love indie music and can jam for days to Alt-J, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The XX, Jungle, Local Natives, Hot Chip and Modest Mouse.

My favorite movies are Almost Famous, Factory Girl, Party Monster, Wristcutters and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I'll read anything by Hunter S. Thompson, Jack Kerouac or Chuck Palahniuk, and generally anything that makes my head spin.
