I'm 36 years old Spaniard, now living in Den Bosch (the Netherlands) together with my girlfriend. I started off my professional career as a journalist focused on culture (mainly film and music). Nowadays I'm trying to build up a career on translation and language teaching (Spanish), while sustaining myself by working at the post office (mail sorting).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Friends told me about this when I was spending time in Romania as a volunteer, part of an EVS (European Voluntary Service) project. I thought it was a great, non-consumerist way of travelling, getting engaged with the place you visit through the people living there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed a couple of times in Cluj (Romania) and once in Swansea (Wales, UK). I haven't host myself through Couchsurfing.

Friendly attitude and conversation, happy to tidy up after me and make it easy for the host; doing the dishes, cooking a meal, etc. I'm social but I also pretty self-sufficient.
