About Me
Hi everyone! I'm Jaime from Chile and if you are reading this let me tell you that I'm a nice guy wjo loves to meet new people around the world, even though I'm more an introvert than an extrovert. I've spend all my live in the City of Santiago, so my live could be extremely boring for most of the travelers (and maybe they're right... kind of... maybe not). That's why I'm on this website, because I wanted to see what's going on here.
Currently I'm a teacher in a University and I'd like to do someday a PhD in Germany, about Criminal Law. This is one of the most interesting areas of my career (... wait, so Laws are not boring? Not at all!), with a lot of debatible subjects and it's always in the sight of many people (especially in Chile where they are always talking about crimes in the news).
Hobbies? Sometimes I ride a bike, sometimes I stay at home watching Netflix or YouTube (many many many topics, from science and physics to pranks and funny stuff). I do Calisthenics as a way to stay fit and have fun with physical activities. Sometimes I meet with my friends to order a pizza and play board games or roll games (like D&D but we don't play that). Sometimes I play videogames (I'm a Nintendo fan but I also play PS3 and PC games).
I'm also learning German. I don't know exactly my level is but I can establish a conversation with german natives about easy topics. I know that because I'm in a group where I meet every Monday with native German and Spanish speakers, to practice each other language, with a glss of beer in hand (of course). Falls du Deutsch kannst, schreib mir mal bitte und wir können uns besser kennenlernen :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are two main reasons: The first one, I'd like to travel around the world and visit a lot of countries (when?... that's a very good question). I'd love to have some help one day and it's nice that there's a web site like this, where you can find a couch in case of needing it, or people to ask things about the city you are visiting. It makes the experience more interesting and with a lot of fun. Of course that works both ways: I'm very glad to help you if you are planning to visit Santiago, just write to me ;)
Te second reason is that I like to connect with new people, have interesting conversations, make activities together and make friends from the rest of the world. No matter if we speak online or "in the real world", there a nice opportunity to know about different points o view, or knowing better some aspects of the rest of the countries that you don't know otherwise. Everyone is very rich of knowledge about a lot of diverse topics, and I love to learn, to listen and share that knowledge.

Music, Movies, and Books
Since I was a child I loved the punk rock music (for example, Blink 182, Yellowcard, No Use for a Name, Sum 41, and there was a time when I listened to MxPx, NoFX, Simple Plan, or even My Chemical Romance...). I still love this kind of music but I'm open to listen other genres. I don't look for another genre but some specific songs or albums. Do you want to know? Just ask.
I love to listen Soundtracks too, and these could come from EVERYWHERE (for example, from a lot of Nintendo videogames where Koji Kondo is the composer, or movies like Amelie or Interstellar, or even YouTube channels like Kurzgesagt).
