CURRENT MISSION

i want to see the world....traveling to far off, exciting places and meeting new friends are my main goal. i want to learn about and explore the world we live in....i'd like to experience cultures different than my own, and possibly learn multi-languages.

ABOUT ME

i am 23 years old...almost 24. i enjoy the outdoors and physical activities, but do not get to participate in them as often as i would like. I like frizbee,bicycling,walking,hiking,swimming and camping. i generally just enjoy being surrounded by nature. I love animals, and i have a loyal one-eyed pitbull who's the sweetest pup on earth. I want to travel the world and document it with photo's and journal entries. i like food, eating and cooking it....especially asian and latin cuisine...mexican, thai and japanese are my favorites. i have 3 siblings, 2 sisters and 1 brother...i am the oldest child. i have a very close relationship with my grandparents, and i believe family is super important in living a full and rich life. i like to sew and make things, and have sold quite a few of my creations. i love music festivals, and all that they entail. i love to read and write. i want to experience as many crazy, adventurous, unique, and beautiful things as possible...and then i want to write all about them, to inspire others to do the same. i am an optomist, but also a cynic at times. i was born on the cusp of leo and virgo, so i make for one interesting, contradictory kinda gal.

PHILOSOPHY

i believe in personal responsability, and also in taking responsabilty as a society...which i feel currently we are not doing. i feel it is my obligation as a fellow human being to help others in need when i can. i believe in peace. i believe that the most important thing in life are the experiences we have, the friends we make, family, and all the little things along the way. i believe in love. i believe that dreams do come true. i believe that our minds are more powerful than most people think. i feel that positive thinking really does work. i want to be a perpetual student. i am open minded and appreciate when others are as well. i try not to judge others, because i myself hate to be judged. i believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. i hate george bush. i think the US government is corrupt, and i feel that it is time for a revolution. i am always interested in other peoples theories and views on life,religion,god,space,time, dreams,etc. i trust life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the only couchsurfing i have ever really done, is when i visit friends who live out of town...i always clean up after myself and am a very good guest. I had a friend/coworker who was 17 and needed a place to stay over winter break, which happened to be like 2 months long. she was the worst guest ever! she ate my roommates and my food. left her dirty clothes on the floor in the bathroom. i came home one night, and instead of her sleeping on the couch, she was in my bed! she had her boyfriend over without asking. and she never folded her blankets!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited mayan ruins last summer with my family. They were literally breathtaking. The carribean sea is so beautiful and i was so fortunate to be able to spend 10 days there. I swam with dolphins and went parasailing. I also picked up alot more spanish. I definately look forward to many more amazing adventures.
