About Me

Hi my name is Jaime, I'm from the North East of England and I live in Gateshead/Newcastle. If you have not been to Newcastle you really should give it a try, it's one of the friendliest places on the planet!

It’s famous for its many bridges over the River Tyne but has beautiful country side, coast line and of course we are famous for our Geordie night life.

I am a person intrigued with life, people and travel. I hope to travel and meet as many people as I can and hopefully find and get to know the ones with beautiful souls.

I have been exploring and traveling most of my life, I’ve travelled around Australia in a Camper van, climbed moutains in Norway to watch the Northern Lights, explored the jungles in Thailand, temples in Cambodia, the mountains and deserts of Chile and partied in Rio for Carnival.

I love this planet and the people on it. Friendship and travel can change the world.

In my spare time I like to hike and go on adventures. I've walked across two countries; England and Spain! Hadrian's wall in north east England and the Camino de Santiago n Spain and France, THE best thing I've ever done!

I hope to keep traveling and meeting people as long as I can.. I’ll stop when it becomes boring, so ask yourself; when is never..?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well as you can see, I've travelled the world quite a bit in my life and i've met some extraordinary people and seen some jaw dropping things, but through all these experiences, I truly believe that Couch surfing is the best and only way to travel.

Last year (2020) summed it up best; because of Couch Surfing I was able to responsibly and safely travel from the South of Bavaria in Germany to Tromso in the Arctic Circle, Norway, with not forgetting stops in Denmark and North Germany.

The Couch Surfing community is beautiful and I was so lucky to stay and make friends with some amazing people along the way.

I was on the road last year well before the pandemic hit as I was on a Bye Bye Brixit tour, to visit and explore Europe before the rules changed and I'm so glad I did!

So now that we have both the pandemic and brexit truly taking shape on our travel plans for 2021. I’ve decided to go “Deeper and not Wider” and explore our very own countries of Great Britain.
In my:

'Bonjour, comment allez-vous? ✌️

im going to be in your amazing city soon and it would be amazing to stay with a fellow couch surfer

My Travelling plan for 2022 in France and Italy since covid is calming down..) I am 3x vaccinated BTW with the Moderna vaccine 😎)

Well thanks to brexit I have only 90 days to spend in the E.U. Booooo! So I have to spend them wisely...

Im planning on flying into Paris, then slowly making my way down to the South of France via lyon, marsellie, to arrive at Nice just in time for the:
Carnival de Nice 2022!!!

My next destination is Venice, Italy for the
Venice carnival 2022!!

Then I will arrive in Assisi to hike to Rome via the St Francis of Assisi pilgrimage.

All this in 90 days before bloody brexit visa runs out

Can you help... I believe in the kindness of strangers. ✌️

I will be mixing up traveling and meeting my fellow couch surfers with volunteering;
I use the website HelpX to work on farms and people’s homes which need any and all working doing.

I would love to meet you and get to know your lovely village/town/city. Let’s share a drink, share stories and forget about how bad 2020 was. Let’s move forward together. Friendship and Travel can change the world! Thanks for reading
