About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm 23 years old. I just graduated with a business degree I don't want anything to do with. Instead, I have a strong interest in the maths and sciences and want to continue my education in a more "engineering" type direction. As you can guess, my life kind of got off track so now I'm taking time off to enjoy myself and explore the world. I've been planning a trip to Europe for the last three years and I'm finally going.
MY PHILOSOPHY
"If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough." - Ellen Johnson Sirleaf
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I recently just moved out of a house that hosted couchsurfers (through another account) and I hope to continue doing so on my own once I settle somewhere for a bit.
In the meantime, I plan on backpacking through Europe and I would much rather stay with a native who can tell me what they love about their city. As a local in a touristy city, I love giving advice about my favorite places (which can quite literally be hidden in an alleyway no wider than your shoulder-width) and showing off all my city has to offer and I think it would be fun to switch places and be the "lost and hungry, but still beyond excited" tourist for a change.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, all types. I used to work at a music venue and I really enjoyed listening to all types of bands coming through and I strongly support local talent.
I love sci-fi and fantasy movies, but I'll watch anything once.
Usually my taste in books matches my taste in movies, but I've progressed more toward nonfiction as I've gotten older. I'm big into Harry Potter and Game of Thrones so I'm down if you want to discuss theories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Can I say taking this trip? Because it's a pretty big leap.
*While on this trip, I slept through a sandstorm while sleeping outside in the Sahara Desert. Take more than a bottle of water...
Other than what's to come, I'm afraid I can't say much. I've climbed a few Appalachian Mountains (which are apparently TINY compared to the rest of the world), and spent a night homeless in downtown Charleston (quite the eye-opening experience).
Oh. One time I got hit by a van while biking to class and I still made it to class on time. I have a cool scar on my chest now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn what your favorite dishes are. Growing up in the south, I feel like I haven't had enough palatte experiences for my liking. Everything tastes like butter and salt. -__- We can exchange recipes (mine will be of the less buttery salt variety, promise).
