About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Go everywhere, do everything.
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from San Diego, California, but have spent the last 10 years living in Spokane, Washington between years abroad in Germany and Spain. I've been spending 2015 trying to find the focus and balance to get what I really want out of my one wild and precious life. On that note, after a year working as a "bicycle courier" I'm now up to four bikes, I have all the gear I need to do some major touring this coming summer, and I actually just joined a local cycling team in the hopes of getting a little faster and trying my hand at racing. I love both crazy, spontaneous adventures as well as simply savoring the more mundane pleasures life has to offer (like Sunday morning coffee on the balcony :)). Mostly, I just love learning new things and making new friends while I'm at it :)
PHILOSOPHY
Give to the world what you think it is lacking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to be able to afford to travel and learn about other people and cultures, and the price of accomodations is often what stands in my way. I would also like to provide others with the same opportunity by giving them a place to stay and sharing what I have to offer with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My room mate Sasha and I have hosted some great couchsurfers, but I haven't yet had the opportunity to actually do any "surfing" myself. Hopefully 2015 will be the year!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love stories, especially stories about people dealing with all the difficult situations and emotions that come along with being human and stories about "ordinary" people working to achieve extraordinary things. So, I usually enjoy any kind of music, movie, or book that I feel captures some kind of poignant or humorous truth about the human experience or inspires me to think or do something new.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm so fortunate to have seen and done so many things that have amazed me. A few that top the list: Taking an unexpected bus trip through Morocco. Swimming in the Mediterranean. Grizzly bears at Glacier National Park. Spokane sunsets (seriously).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, German, or Spanish and how to make delicious chocolate chip cookies or Enchilada casserole (American style). I've been told I know the names of quite a few plants, but I still feel like there are so many left to learn.
I'd love to learn to play the guitar a little better and anything I can about bicycles, cooking, gardening, and "self-sufficiency." Plus, there is not a language in the world I wouldn't like to learn!
