ABOUT ME

I love traveling and being spontaneous. I am a nature guy and, due to my fable for biology, love to turn every stone passing my way, just to see what kind of interesting critters I might find there. I am easy going, open to everything and friendly, I like meeting new people, here there stories and learn about other cultures.
I have lived on Svalbard and explored the Arctic surrounding. Now I live in Tromsø, a bit further South, but still feel the urge to move on to a place, where I finally experience a real Spring again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea to travel around and be able to get in contact with local people, learn about their culture and ways of living. During my travels I always tried to stay in hostels, I think couch surfing is the next step. You can do it everywhere, there are no limits anymore and in addition you meet people with the same disposition.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted people and couch surfed myself quite a bit, but this was before this community formed and included people I knew over a few corners, friends of friends and real friends I have met traveling.
I am excited, making my first genuine couch surf experience anytime soon!

Interests

Nature and all it's amazing life and landscape. I like to go Hiking, mountaineering, climbing, scuba diving and snow mobile driving. I love road trips and camping. I enjoy hanging out with friends, making spontaneous plans and just do it.
I'm not particularly religious. I am interested in reading good books, politics and photography. I have a great curiosity and like to learn new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving snowmobile in a remote area on Svalbard during the dark season and see the Arctic landscape lit by the eclipsed full moon, while polar lights are dancing in the sky.
