ABOUT ME

If people would describe me they would say I am an adventurous, energetic, positively spirited girl who has a big heart for the things around her. I love to be surrounded by nature more than anything and I have developed a strong bond with the animals around me. I am crazy about travelling, discovering and getting to know other cultures and I love taking chances that will get me out of an ordinary situation. I am also quite curious! My hobbies are sports such as survivalrunning and climbing (as well inside as outside), playing the piano & cello (no good though yet ;-) ) and last but not least photography.

PHILOSOPHY

"Be the person your dog thinks you are." I believe that trying to see the positive side of something is crucial.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As we (me & my boyfriend Joeri) are travelling ourselves for 1 year now, we can't host anyone. We like to cook for you or help out with some things around the house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great couchsurf in Hong Kong and an absolute fantastic week of couchsurfing with someone in Christchurch, New Zealand. Couchsurfed quite a lot in Switzerland while living there, every time was fantastic in it's own sense.

I love singer & songwriters such as Ben Howard, Eddie Vedder, Xavier Rudd, Bon Iver, Damien Rice and bands like The Civil Wars. I like playing the piano music of Ludovico Einaudi a lot. Entouchable, Hachi & Fly Away Home are some of my favourite movies.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Went travelling on my own after high school, as an 18 year old girl for 6 months in South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. One of the best times of my life, but also the time in which I've overcome the most difficulties and really have gotten to know myself.

I keep getting astonished by what nature has to show us, the beauty of landscapes and life itself is completely mindblowing.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach people Dutch, my boyfriend Joeri is bilingual and can teach Dutch as well as German. We like to cook for you! And learning a language is absolutely great. We are both practicing Spanish now since we are in Middle-America, but honestly, we are open to anything that anyone is willing to teach us.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I love to do something back for the hosts to show my gratitude, mainly I like to cook a dinner. Nothing that's typically dutch (we don't have that much great food), but more as a gesture! (Joeri is a great cook!)
