About Me

Hello!! I'm from the US (Oregon and Vermont). I grew up in a small farm town in Southern Oregon. I don't need a lot to be happy, I'm typically a very positive and flexible person. I came to Europe on a backpacking trip, I started in London for Christmas and then to Paris to meet a friend who works in Caen. We spent New Years in Caen. After, I spent some time in The Netherlands, then Cologne. I work at a hospital back home performing ultrasounds (sonographer). I recently graduated June 2016 and this trip is a grad present to myself because I've always wanted to travel! I'm very laid back, easy to get along with and I love meeting new people. I love to party and have a good time, I'm usually down to do whatever until any hour of the morning! Love to go to clubs and dance (typically house techno), I know how to have a chill day but I also know how to rage.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet locals, hostels have been fun and a great way to meet fellow travelers but I really like to hear what locals have to say and what they recommend! A few of my friends have successfully stayed in different couch surfing environments and loved it. They met some cool people which they still keep contact with. I want to broaden my horizons, I've lived in areas where culture wasn't too prevalent, I love learning and hearing where people have come from and this gives me that opportunity.

Interests

On my off time, I run and bike, participate in different events such as brew festivals, marathons, markets, and local competitions/sporting events. I enjoy to travel and so I'll usually plan weekend trips to cities I haven't visited, I love to get in the car and just go. Hiking is a big passion of mine and I just started taking piano lessons and voice lessons because I've always been interested in music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently, I went skydiving for the first time! Which was quite the rush!

I went to Mexico with a few family friends and we ended up going to an Island by boat and an older gentleman was selling cheap scuba trips to a reef nearby, it had its warning signs but a couple of us said "why not" and trusted the gentleman. He took us on a small boat to a gorgeous area, gave us a quick and to the point explanation and next thing you know we were scuba diving. Although it had an uneasy feeling it became one of my favorite moments from visiting Mexico.

During my travels in Amsterdam, my friend and I met a bartender who was roughly our age and started asking him about local parties and such, he ended up giving us his number and we met him later on at a house after party, I met a ton of exciting and interesting people that evening all from a stranger who is now a friend. It's moments like that when I realize why I love traveling and getting to know so many new people.
