Punk, folk (old time & contemporary folky stuff), rock n roll, country (especially old stuff - Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Townes van Zandt), hip-hop of all kinds, jazz, stuff I can dance to
movies: Star Wars, Wes Anderson movies, Charlie Kaufman ones, Jim Jarmusch, Paul Thomas Anderson
books: Beat Generation stuff, Middlesex, Patti Smith, Carl Jung, spirituality literature
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
amazing for me: spent a month in India a couple years ago, stayed at a Tibetan Buddhist university and learned Buddhist philosophy amongst monks & nuns in the town where the Buddha gave his first teachings (Sarnath)
Teach, Learn, Share
happy to teach/share music/songs (guitar & other folk instruments), share wisdom from world religious traditions, teach mindfulness meditation / basic contemplative practices
What I Can Share with Hosts
Can cook for you, help out with around-the-house errands, provide you with some empathic responding / therapeutic presence (though I think legally I have to say that I'm not NOT a licensed social worker yet, and this isn't therapy!), a little bit of $$$ maybe
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, France, Greece, India, Ireland, United Kingdom
